Silks 1

In this class you will build your vertical vocabulary and learn foundational skills for silks and rope. Classes will include conditioning exercises to build strength and stamina on vertical apparatuses.

Prerequisites: Invert from the ground without assistance (foot tag ok), figure-8 footlock on left and right feet, classic & Russian climb on both sides.

Horizontal Plus Size

In this class we will work on sequencing using low apparatus: slings, dance trap and hoop. We’ll use the floor a lot and do a little conditioning, too. Come prepared to move.

This class is for larger bodied aerialists with a little bit of experience.

Prerequisite: 1 full session of Intro to Horizontal or similar.

Slings 1

This class will develop your relationship with the sling, introduce wrap theories, and build strength and endurance. Focus will include mobility work, pull over mounts, supported and aerial inversions, climbs, and single drops.

Prerequisites: comfortable in straddle inversion, standing in sling, and being in hip hang; gazelle both sides; double crochet

Hoop 1

Prerequisites: Able to comfortably mount hoop at waist height, able to do a 2 knee hang (on top or bottom bar), straddleback balance, back balance (hands on or off)

Rope 1/2

This class is geared towards experienced beginners who have completed intro to vertical and a level 1 silks series class. We’ll learn climbs, inversions, wraps and basic drops. For success in class, please attend at least 1 open gym each week.

Prerequisites: All Intro to Vertical skills, plank/hollow body on the ground w good form, long hang on a silk/rope for 15+ secs, enough stamina to climb to the top/descend, ground inversion w/o jumping or losing control (foot tag/momentum ok).

Static Trapeze 1

A series on foundation skills and techniques on static trapeze. Students will practice mounts, dismounts, balancing, and learn static and dynamic tricks together in phrases. Strength training and repetition on both sides of the body will be emphasized to build confidence and ability on the Trapeze.

Prerequisite: intro to horizontal or equivalent

Dance Trapeze 1/2

This class is for those who want to learn new tricks and sequences on low dance trapeze. We will work on new pathways, begin to play with inverting from the floor, and experiment with spinning/swinging.

Prerequisites: Straddleback, hip hang with no hands (any entry/exit), star to arrow on both sides.
